Master's Thesis: Intraocular position estimation in cataract surgery using machine learning. Used supervised machine learning techniques to estimate the best Intraocular lens (IOL) to be implanted on a patient after cataract surgery using pre-operative images. Improved state-of-the-art performance by up to 11%. Project made in collaboration with Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).

Bachelor's Thesis: Design of AI algorithms for the construction of 3D models for the human lens. Created a deep learning semantic segmentation model using PyTorch to segment real-world images of patient's eyes after cataract surgery. Improved state-of-the-art by 7%, helping in the diagnosis of cataracts and presbyopia. Project made in collaboration with Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).

Developed using Python a deep learning segmentation algorithm (feature pyramid network with pre-trained encoder) for anterior eye OCT images, achieving 93.2% accuracy and 0.34 s/image processing time.
